Travelling Ark
Travelling Ark
The Province of London has introduced a Travelling Ark as a successor to its Travelling Keystone, as we Royal Ark Mariners consider the Ark as the Haven of Rest.
It’s not “raided” as the Travelling Keystone was but rather “presented” as a gesture of goodwill between Royal Ark Mariners.
The objective of the Travelling Ark is to encourage visits between Royal Ark Mariner Lodges and to promote the R.A.M. Degree in general, whensoever and wheresoever it might be possible.
The Ark was paraded into Provincial Grand Lodge at our last Annual Meeting in July 2023 and was presented by the Provincial Grand Master and some of his Executive to the Commander and Secretary of Polytechnic Lodge. Subsequent to this initial event, the Ark has been floated to Barnet Mark Well Lodge and then onto the newly-consecrated Irenic R.A.M., and it is expected to dock with Dramatic R.A.M. in April.
It is then setting sail for Highgate in June and is expected to arrive back at its home port at our AGM in July.
So if you’d like to involve your R.A.M. unit on its journey around the Province then just email johnhwellis100@gmail.com and become part of the Travelling Ark’s history.
Individual Royal Ark Mariners can also of course join in any of the aforementioned journeys by emailing John
