Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St. James’s Street, London
Hello,

London Mark supports the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers

Getting up at 4am is never a pleasant task, usually for an early morning
flight.

However I did so on Friday 12 September with great pleasure and purpose as I
was going to Canary Wharf to see off 100 London taxis who were taking
severely disabled and sick children to Disneyland Paris for the weekend.

The annual trip is organised by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage
Drivers, and the cabs go with a full police escort and a retinue of
medical and other back-up vehicles.

The Province of London sponsored five of these cabs costing us £7,500, and
it was my pleasure to meet the driver Sam and the mother with her two sons
who were travelling with him. As you can see from the pictures they were
well settled in for the journey!

It was a genuine delight to see so many happy and smiling children
departing on what will be the journey of a lifetime for them, and I felt
privileged to wave them off on their adventure after having enjoyed a
hearty breakfast with them.

A truly great charitable concept, and one that we should be proud to
support.
