What a day! Not only was W.Bro Chris Clark installed as the new Worshipful Commander in the RAM, but we were treated in the Mark Degree to a Full Team Visit by the PGM David Ashbolt, APGM Jerry Gangadeen and a large delegation of Active Officers of the year. The PGM was, as usual, in demand presenting a Mark Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro Charles Southwell, then, a little later on, ably assisted by the “Provincial Axeman” – W Bro Charlie Newman, the Provincial Grand Master presented W.Bro Mick Melia, the Worshipful Master of Henniker Lodge with the Platinum Award of the 13th Axe made by W Bro Charlie. The WM then presented RW Bro David Ashbolt with a further cheque towards the Mini-bus appeal We also witnessed the double advancement of Bro Ken and Bro Martin, conducted by the senior APGM – VW Bro Keith Florence – in a manner referred to as “Excellent, and exactly what I would have expected” by the PGM. The whole afternoon and evening was one of total harmony, great fun and entertainment.
