PGM David Ashbolt and a large Delegation visit Old Kent, TI. A very memorable evening.
For everyone who attended, the evening just could not have been better, The Ceremony of Installation was undertaken by W Bro Neil Smith in a most relaxed and entertaining manner. Well supported by the OK Members, the evening was one which the incoming Master will remember for years to come. Sadly, Neil is moving to Spain in the near future and the Province and OK will lose the dedicated levels of service he has constantly achieved. This was recognised by the PGM, David Ashbolt, when awarding him the Provincial Grand Master’s Award for his unstinted contribution to the Province of Mark Master Masons of London over many years. The PGM then delivered a very nice address to Neil culminating in an instant promotion to PProvGSW. In all the years I have known Neil, I have never seen him stumped for words before!! The PGM went on to present four Mark Grand Lodge Certificates to OK TI members who were present.
The PGM received a cheque for a further £500 from the Lodge and later presented them with the Certificates awarded (so far). We dined at the Carvery and a great time was enjoyed by all.
