On a very hot and humid 11^th of September the members and guests of the London Installed Mark Masters and London Installed Commanders lodges met at Mark Masons Hall for their bi-annual meeting. The London Installed Commanders met first and as was the custom for this meeting played host to the Provincial Grand Assembly. After the Provincial Grand Master accompanied by numerous Provincial officers entered the lodge and took over the principle offices the Provincial Grand Master proceeded to invest 17 brethren with the Collarette of Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank. After its conclusion the PGM requested that the Provincial Grand Secretary W. Bro Gurdeep Virdee be brought to him. The Provincial Grand Master then proceed to give him a field promotion and invested him with a Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank Collarette as a token of thanks for all the hard work he has done for the province. To say that W. Bro Gurdeep Virdee was surprised by the appointment would be an understatement and gave great delight to all that witnessed it.

There followed the London Installed Mark Masters lodge meeting which saw V.W. Bro. Henry Hobson install V.W. Bro. John Ellis in the chair of the lodge. This was followed by the appointment and investment of his officers for the year.

The Brethren then retired to the festive where the PGM thankfully gave permission for the Brethren to dine in shirtsleeve due to the excessive heat.
