Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St. James’s Street, London
Hello,

Awareness Evening 31/10/2013.

A fantastic evening was had at the recent Awareness Evening held at Mark Masons Hall on 31st October 2013. Hosted by St. John’s Wood Lodge, Guild of Freeman Lodge, London West Africa Lodge and Foundation Lodges of Mark Master Masons.

The introduction and welcome talk was given by the PGM R.W.Bro. David Ashbolt. This was followed by a most interesting guided tour of a Mark Masons Lodge by W. Bro. Keith Florence APGM. He explained all the Lodge Offices especially those not in a Craft Lodge namely the Register of Marks and the Overseers without giving too much away. Bro. Keith also mentioned the other Orders which come under the auspices of Mark Grand Lodge. He advised that within the Province of London there were 95 Mark Lodges and 82 Royal Ark Mariner Lodges, by far the largest membership of any Mark Province in the World.

Everyone then crammed into the Brasil Room, it was standing room only for some of the brethren. The room had been laid out as a Royal Ark Mariner Temple and W. Bro. Keith gave an explanation of the RAM degree and the various offices, everyone returned to the Mark Temple where the DPGM W. Bro. Bill Divall gave a most interesting talk on the history of the Mark Degree.

The brethren must obviously have enjoyed the meeting because they gave all the speakers a hearty round of applause, there were smiles all around.

Photographs were then taken and the brethren had a wonderful carvery meal with 55 dining.
