Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St. James’s Street, London
Hello,

Bournemouth, 21st January 2017 – A Brilliant Burns Night! Album 1

Another record breaking success! With well over 130 present, the evening was superbly orchestrated by Vince Driver, aided and abetted by Tim MacAndrews and lots of guys and gals behind the scenes, Our President and his Lady, David & Vanda Ashbolt, were met wish resounding applause when they entered the function room. We were graced by the presence of the Deputy Grand Master, Raymond Smith and his lovely wife, Anne, the AGM, John Prizeman and his good lady and the Grand Secretary, Angus Hannagan with his wife also. The PGM of Surrey brought a good sized representation from his Province and a good time was had by all.

The Selkirk Grace was delivered by Mrs Eunice Quinn – wife of our DepPGM, Tom Quinn (and more of them later!) and the Address to the Haggis by Tom in fine form!!
We were treated to toasts from Wes Hollands – to the Lassies with a scorching reply to the toast which left Wes duly sheepish! The toast to the Immortal Memory was given by Colin in great form and with grateful thanks from all for the abridged version!

The President, David Ashbolt, gave a short address and thanked everyone for attending and supporting the Mark Benevolent Fund and the Hope For Tomorrow Charity. It is only fair to note that both David, Vincent and Brian Parkins were resplendent in their Highland Attire!

Shortly thereafter we were again treated to Tom Quinn’s Musical and Humorous songs and this year’s parodies were, as always right up to the moment!!
