Consecration of Nicolae Titulescu No.1991 on 2 June, 2018
At 11.00am on Saturday 2nd June the Consecration of a new Mark Lodge – Nicolae Titulescu No, 1991 – will take place at Mark Masons’ Hall. The Pro Grand Master will be the Consecrating Officer and our own PGM, David Ashbolt, will be in attendance. The new Lodge will sit under the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons.
The consecration of a new Mark Lodge is always a special occasion and as this is taking place in London, an invitation to attend is extended to London Mark Brethren to give further support to the Pro Grand Master and to our Provincial Grand Master.
Booking details can be found here. However the closing date for meal bookings is 28th May.
Brethren wishing to attend the meeting only should email Derek Thomas on markpgm2013@gmail.com as soon as possible
The Lodge is named after the Romanian diplomat Nicolae Titulescu and is the second Romanian Mark Lodge, the first was consecrated in Bucharest on the 3rd March and the third is scheduled for Constanta on the 26th October.
It forms part of a very exciting project to introduce the Mark Degree into the Balkans, commencing with Romania. There are around 14,500 Craft Masons in the National Grand Lodge of Romania, led by the Grand Master MW Bro. Radu Balanescu who was advanced into the Mark Degree in July 2017.
In the last 10 months alone 187 Romanian brethren have been advanced into the Mark Internet Lodge and there are several hundred others waiting. The aim is to get the membership to around 450-500 by July next year.
