Hello,

Grand Master’s Lodge of Instruction Annual Festival

The Grand Master’s Lodge of Instruction season has now ended in splendid form after a highly successful trip to York where the PGM of N & E Yorkshire, RW Bro. Bob Clancey was this year’s President of the Festival. The Demonstration Team (pictured on the VIP balcony overlooking York Racecourse – the splendid venue for the Festival) presented two excellent Ceremonies of Elevation and Advancement before an audience of some 200 local Brethren and visiting VIPs including RW Bro. John Prizeman Deputy Grand Master and our own PGM RW Bro. David Ashbolt. At the Festive Board the Chairman of the GMLofI Committee, RW Bro. Frank Spencer GDC, paid fitting tribute to the team spirit which was much in evidence, the many months of hard work by team members leading up to the Festival and the contribution made by the recently retired Preceptor, VW Bro. David Pascho, who gave an excellent rendition of the Lecture on the Mark Degree. The photograph shows our group, which consists mainly of London Brethren plus our locally sourced ‘Candidate’.

Rehearsals at MMH for next year’s season and the 2020 Festival, which will be presided over by RW Bro. Archie Torrance, PGM for Kent, begin on Monday 2nd September. New members are always welcome and enquiries may be directed to Tom Quinn, Preceptor. The syllabus and further details for 2019/20 will also shortly be available on the Province’s website.
