Panmure Lodge No 139 celebrate their Sesqui-Centenary year with a bumper meeting.
The R.W. Provincial Grand Master Tom Quinn and a delegation of Provincial Grand Officers paid a formal visit to Panmure Lodge No 139 on the Sesqui-Centenary (150th) anniversary of the founding of the lodge and what a splendid meeting it turned out to be.
After welcoming the Provincial Grand Master and his delegation the lodge held a ballot for two joining members. It was found in their favour and being present were welcomed into the lodge. There followed another ballot for the Advancement of two candidates which was also found in their favour. One being present he was Advanced by the Master who conducted the first half of the ceremony, the second part being conducted by Brother Secretary V.W. Bro. Paul Muston.
This was followed by the presentation of the Sesqui-Centenary Warrant to the lodge and distribution of commemorative jewels to the members of the lodge.
The next item on the agenda was for the Master W. Bro. Harry Hebborn it install his successor W. Bro. Kevin Murphy into the chair of Adoniram who then appointed and invested his officers for the ensuing year.
This was followed by the Provincial Grand Master giving a splendid presentation of a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Michael Treffler.
This most enjoyable meeting was rounded off by the Secretary during the risings who announced that in addition to the Brother who was unable to attend this meeting for his Advancement he two additional forms for Advancement taking the total up to four and with the two joining members would be a very welcome boost to the membership of the lodge.
The Brethren then retired to a most enjoyable festive board.
