APGM W. Bro. Tim MacAndrews and a delegation of Provincial Grand Officers visit Macdonald Lodge
APGM W. Bro. Tim MacAndrews and those who were fortunate to be members of his delegation were treated to a most exception meeting of Macdonald’s RAM and Mark meetings.
Those of us who were fortunate to attend the RAM meeting witnessed an outstanding ceremony when the Worshipful Commander W. Bro. Roger Hare elevated Bro. Philip Clegg. The Worshipful Commander not only conducted the ceremony with hardly a prompt, it was delivered with such feeling and passion that it has left a lasting impression on all who witnessed it. Those of us who were privileged to witness it agreed that it was probably one of the best we had ever seen.
Not to be outdone at the following Mark meeting the APGM and the members of the delegation were treated to an exemplary Advancement ceremony conducted by the recently-installed Master W. Bro Henry Adams. The W.M. not only advanced Bro. Brian Turner, he also presented the Working Tools with hardly a prompt through any stage of the ceremony. The ceremony was so good, in fact, that a couple of the members of the delegation suggested to the APGM that he should try for the Silver Pin – a suggestion that the APGM totally agreed with. After the meeting it transpired that there was a very strong possibility that there would indeed be a candidate for Advancement at the next meeting. If this is the case and an adjudicator can be present we are confident that the W.M will be in with a very good chance of success.
After the meeting the brethren retired to enjoy a most convivial festive board.
